It all started when...

The idea for the Fred T. Korematsu Elementary School Garden began back in 2007. In the middle of 2008, after almost a year of careful planning, coordinating with teachers and District staff, support from parents, and fundraising, we began to build Korematsu's first garden - a sensory garden with areas to touch, smell, see and eat!

From there, we've expanded and added many educational gardens...
